Bump went fishing!

It's been awhile since Bump has been able to get out and go fishing! With the new house and projects and work and the kids it just seems that fishing gets put on the back burner. Last Friday he called me from work to tell me the the Cicada hatch is going on at the Green River and would I mind if he went on Saturday.I have been telling him that he needs to go fishing and have tried in the past month to really encourage him to go, but he feels guilty for leaving me with the kids and so he hasn't gone. Well, his desire finally won over his guilt when the cicada's came calling.He called up his long time friend, CJ and they took off on Friday night, not reaching the river until about 2:00am. They slept by the car in a parking lot for a few hours and hit the river early. He said that he and CJ had perma-grins on their faces the whole day and it was difficult to leave the river when the time came to come home. The fish were biting well and they had a really wonderful time! He came home feeling tired, but rejuvenated and so happy to have gone after such a long time.I actually ended up having a great Saturday too. Steve was out-of-town also and so Tracy called me to see if I wanted to go with her to get a pedicure. I told her I would love to if I could find someone to watch my kids. She said that she would take care of it and when the time came to leave she brought Steve (Jr.) and Conner over to watch the kids for me. The kids love their cousins and were so excited that the boys were watching them!

We went and had manicures and pedicures and went to lunch. It was so fun and I felt rejuvenated myself! I am glad that Bump got to go fishing and that he had a good time, but I am also really glad that I got to do something fun as well! What a great Saturday!
