And the second one is gone

Gabby lost her second tooth this week. There was slightly less drama and there are no more loose teeth for the moment. Sadly, you don't get to see the cute gap too much because the permanent teeth are already growing in. But, she talks with a cute little lisp and is very happy to have her bottom baby teeth out!

Aarrrr t'was Pirate Day

Corb had Pirate/Princess day at preschool yesterday. He also happened to need a haircut so it worked out rather well for him. We gave him a mohawk for the day. His natural cowlicks made this more difficult than you would think. It was pretty funny! Don't you just love the growling face?
And the nice rubber band cutting into his head to hold his patch on? What size head are these really supposed to fit?

The most exciting thing EVER!

At least if you are 6 it's the most exciting thing. Notice anything different about our oldest daughter?
Yup she's missing something. . .
Gabby lost her first tooth on Monday and although she thought it was pretty dramatic and cried and didn't want it to come out because it scared her-when it finally did she was all smiles. :) Her other tooth had started growing in behind the loose one and it had been really loose for weeks, so I finally just told her that it was coming out one way or the other. Aren't I mean?

I tied some dental floss around it and it slipped under the tooth and pulled it tight so it wouldn't come off. She was mad at me and asked me to take it off. I told her that I couldn't so she cried and was upset. Then when I told her that I would take it off for her I just pulled it out. You know how it goes? She was shocked and then all smiles.
The problem is that the tooth right next to that one is pretty loose too. We'll see if she'll even let me come close to that one. What an exciting thing for a 6 year old! She got a dollar from the tooth fairy.

Christmas 2010

It has always been a Christmas tradition in my family to have a cheeseball and smoked oysters with our other Christmas goodies. Bump doesn't love smoked oysters, so I have my own token can that I can't eat by myself, just to keep the tradition alive. This year I tried them out on the kids. Gabby doesn't like them, but these two thought it was a pretty great treat. They don't like the crackers or cheese, but just ate the oysters individually and really liked them! Kind of fun! :)
Christmas morning was a lot of fun this year. Our kids are at such fun ages that the Christmas magic is pretty strong! I love it! This was Fin's first Christmas so I tried to take a picture of him, but he knows the flash is coming and loves to look for the light to chase (can you say, Jake reincarnated?) so I got Fin looking down and this great picture of Bump! Isn't he cute? Love the hair, Babe! (Notice there are no pictures of me!)
And then there's this great picture that I finally got with the typical glowing eyes. Oh well. Happy first Christmas, Fin.
And here are the kids. First, they are holding these cute dolls that their cousin, Cass made for each of them. They are totally darling and the kids LOVE them. Just goes to show that the homemade gifts really are the winners for these guys! :)
Quincy and Gabby got a new kitchen with a working clock, under cabinet light, microwave buttons and telephone. It's really cute and the girls love it!
Here they are with their new jammies and pillow pet back packs. Their stash of Santa gifts are behind them. I don't think they could tell you what their favorite things are.

Although in these pictures it sure looks like her pillow pet poodle back pack is Gabby's favorite.
Corb scored big time with his guns, work bench and basketball stand. I think overall this Christmas he ended up with 4 different guns (3 nerf and one fake M-16 or something like that) it was just what he wanted.

We spent Christmas Eve at Darin and Sue's house in Tremonton and had a lot of fun. Then Christmas day we went to Jeremy and Jen's house in Kaysville for Christmas dinner. It was such a nice and relaxing Christmas that it was hard to see the holiday's end.
