He's a Bear

I was called to be the Bear Leader for the Cub Scouts in the Briarwood Ward.  I have never been in cub scouts before and I have absolutely loved it!  Here is a breakdown of some of Corban's fun Bear Activities this year.

Here is our Wolf and Bear group.  We meet together for flag ceremony each week and then split up into groups for our activities.

 Bear Cub Day Camp

Tying Knots

BMX Bike Course

Climbing Wall

 Handsome Corban

Archery

Another combined Wolf/Bear activity was going to visit the Centerville Police Station.  We toured around the station and then got a close look at a Police cruiser.

Hopefully not a sign of things to come for this guy. Ha ha!

Corban worked hard and finally earned his bear award!  Webelos here he comes!

Bird Watching

We heard about a nesting owl out by Farmington Bay so we went to check it out.  It was so neat to see the mama Great Horned Owl and her 2 babies.  We got creative to get a photo of the owls using our phone camera through the spotting scope.  Not too shabby!
