My crazy Thursday!

Yesterday was supposed to be just another day of watching the roofers do their thing and keeping Corban and Quincy busy inside and out of the way. Well, a few weeks ago Corban stepped on something outside and didn't say anything to me. By the time I noticed his sliver it was a bit infected and sore. I dug in and pulled the thorn out and cleaned it up and didn't worry about it. Well, a few days later I noticed it again and it was really swollen and infected and so I drained it and cleaned it again. Well, to make a long story short, yesterday morning I got him an appointment to see his pediatrician.

Tracy needed to get her van in Bountiful so we rode in together. The doctor had to cut the blister off so that new skin could form and he sent the infection to be cultured because he thinks Corban has strep in his foot - no wonder I couldn't get it to heal, right? I was glad Tracy was there to take Quincy so I could help calm Corban, because he was not a happy camper through this. So, he gave us a high dose antibiotic and we have to clean and change his gauze pad twice a day for it to heal, and bring him back on Tuesday to see what the culture results are. I wish I had a picture of what it looked like before I took him in, but here are some pictures of it today. After that I dropped the kids off at Bump's parent's house while I ran to get an eye exam - badly needed since I am out of contacts. After my eye exam I got a call from Tera telling me that she thinks Gabby is sick (remember Gabby is up at Tera's house in Logan for the weekend). After lots of calling and figuring out if she really was sick or not we worked out for Jessica, my niece, to meet me half way to get her home.

About 5 minutes after I got her and we started driving, Gabby threw up - yes she really was sick with an upset stomach, fever and the works! Sorry, Tera, I hope your kids don't get it!Reading this it doesn't seem like it was that crazy, but trying to juggle all the kids and figure out cars and car seats and who would drive and pick up who, my head was just spinning! So, today we are chillin' at home and enjoying loads of time in the bathroom with Gabby and hoping that our roof will get worked on today and nobody else will get sick!

Oh Erin, I feel for you. I've had days like that and can truly sympathize. Your house looks great. I'm so excited for you. Corbin's heel on the other hand looks disgusting!

Ok sorry I just realized I spelled Corban's name wrong. Probably not a first:)
