Our Disneyland Trip

Why do vacations always go by so fast? We had a wonderful trip to California this past week. We left the snow behind and headed to sunny skies and 70+ degrees. We took our time driving and left our youngest behind with Aunt Tricia and Uncle Lee's family.

The first night we stayed in St. George and found a hotel with an indoor pool, because it was cool and breezy outside and we knew that the kids would need to get some energy out! It was a good call and the hotel was great!! The next day we made it to Dave and Julie's house in California and let the kids play with their cousins that they hardly know. It was fun to catch up with their family and again let the kids run around. We wish we could see them more!!

We stayed at a hotel right outside of Disneyland and the next day walked over to the park to meet Dave, who let us in - thanks again, Dave!! The kids loved both parks and we had so much fun showing them around and going on all kinds of rides! It was busier than when we normally go in February because of Spring Break, but still not too bad! At dinner-time we headed out to let the kids play with their cousins for a few more hours again.

Wednesday we walked over and met Dave again to get into Disneyland and had a long and very full day going on everything that we missed the day before, plus many others again and again. The kids favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean. It made them really nervous the first time going on it, but then they wanted to go over and over.

I am really not being too specific in this post, but we had such a great time! We had wonderful weather until we were driving home and hit a snow storm about 10 minutes outside of St. George! I guess that was when we realized that the vacation was over - dang it!!!

I guess it's good to be home, but it was really, really tempting to stay a lot longer!!!! Thanks Dave and Julie for a great time and for Lee and Trish for watching Quincy and for Tracy for watching over our house while we were gone!! You guys are awesome!!!

Silly Erin. Why would I think that you're ignoring me? LOL. I knew you guys were heading to California, and I'm not a sulky teenager anymore who needs constant reassurance from you and Bump in order to brighten my mood. :) And...I love the pigtails...I've really learned how to work the camera, and it's starting to pay off. Anyways, love and miss you all. ttyl.

SO FUN!!! I'm glad you got to go. I'm sure every one of you needed a vacation. From the pictures, it looks like the kids had a blast. But I didn't see any princess pictures. Did Gabby get to see the princesses? Talk to you soon.

Looks like some fun times! Thad and I are kickin' around the idea of going to Disneyworld before he goes to OTS...still undecided. I'm especially fond of the pic of y'all in your 3D? glasses...Corban's one hot dude! :)
