I love this kid!

Corban has been patiently waiting to start Kindergarten for a long time! Since his birthday is August 27th most of the kids in his primary class started Kindergarten last year and he got to wait. Luckily he had a great preschool class and now he gets to be one of the oldest kids in his class this year.
He is in the afternoon Kindergarten class so he was very anxious to start on the first day, but had to wait until 12:45! His excitement must have worn off onto me a bit because I totally messed up and went to the school an hour early! Ha! I was confused to see his teacher waiting outside with her morning class ready to be picked up. And then when nobody was in his class yet I realized what I had done. Duh!
Oh well! We got a picture outside with his teacher, Mrs. Dahle. And got a picture of him sitting at his desk. Then we left to kill some time until school actually started. When we came back to school Corban was mad at me for walking him in. He kept telling me to just drop him off out in front and that he already knew where to go. I told him that I would just walk him in the first day and wouldn't do it again. He still ran ahead of me. I guess I'm glad that he is so independent.
Because his birthday was a few days before school started he got to celebrate it his first week of school. He had a pretend birthday yesterday and thought that was pretty cool! He knows quite a few kids in his class already, which is nice. Many of them are in our ward, just in the class younger than Corb in primary. It should be a great year!
