I thought the cast was wonderful! I have enjoyed Star Trek my whole life. I grew up watching the original Star Trek re-runs and was really excited when Star Trek the Next Generation came out. I enjoyed watching them also - call me a geek, I don't care. I wondered how this movie would be when I saw the previews and was pleasantly surprised when I heard the great reviews.I thought that the new cast was excellent! They all did really great jobs at portraying the original Star Trek characters, but my favorite was Karl Urban playing the role of Dr. McCoy. He really had his character nailed and was one of the most believable and funny!
And another reason that he was my favorite? . . .
Any questions? I will see this movie again - you should too!

I loved it!!!! I was worried how they would do it and keep it from being boring or just a remake of an old story but ....wow! They did it perfectly now with their new spin on things they can start all over again...Star Trek 2, 3, 4....

Ok, you sold me. That picture alone will make me go see it. I don't consider myself a "trekkie" but I really loved it growing up as well! I have heard that it is fantastic and I certainly trust your opinion. It is on the list!
I guess I should go see it with JR, I am not a big movie goer but every now and then I humor my husband. I know he wants to see it but I have been ignoring the request. We shoud double!
