Roller Skating

Friday the kids got their report cards and all of them had absolutely perfect grades.  So, we went roller skating with some friends.  Bump was supposed to be at an overnight scout camp, but it had to be cancelled at the last minute so he got to come with us!

Sadly, this was the very first time that our kids had been on roller skates before.  It took them a little while to get the feel of them.  Luckily the rink had some cool pvc "helpers" that really helped the kids to feel comfortable on the skates.  By the time we left they were all doing pretty well with or without help.

Right before we left they had a dance competition in the center of the rink.  Quincy ended up winning the competition and won a glow stick necklace.  That girl knows how to wiggle those hips!

Katelynn, Quincy, Gabby, Ema, Ellie, Corban and Luke

After we left Quincy stole Bump's jacket so he decided to wear her coat.  On the way home we took the kids to Leatherby's for some ice cream.  It was a really fun night!

Those skating support things for the kids are awesome! I need to follow your example and take the kids out skating. It looks like so, so much fun.
