Quincy Birthday and Memorial Day

Well, again I did a terrible job at remembering my camera! I don't know what is wrong with me lately! Quincy's birthday is June 1st and this year we celebrated it on Memorial Day, May 31st with Bump's family.

Both of Bump's parents are from Tooele and both sets of grandparents are buried in the Tooele Cemetery, so we decided this year to invite everyone out to our house for a BBQ and to go and visit graves together. We figured since some of them would be coming this way anyway, why waste a good reason to get together? Bump's parents came and his brother, Darin and his family and their friend, Alex, and Jeremy and his family. We were only missing Tyler and his family and wish they could have been here with us instead of in Ohio. We also celebrated both Quincy's birthday and my nephew, Conner's birthday at the same time. Conner's 13th birthday was the day before.

I didn't get pictures at the cemetery and I didn't get pictures of the BBQ, but at least I didn't forget to grab the camera for birthday time!! My sister-in-law, Jen, made the cake and did such a cute job since Quincy asked for strawberries on her birthday cake. Conner let Quincy blow out the candles, since he is now 13 and it's not as cool to blow out the candles, he let her have all the fun. What a nice guy! And I realize that I didn't even get a good picture of him!! Dang I am terrible!

Quincy got some play dough, some books, candy land game, some bath toys and has a penguin pillow pet on the way in the mail. She was so excited to be able to tell everyone that she is 3 years old now and thinks she is so grown up!

We ended up having a nice, relaxing afternoon with good food and fun people to visit with! I just love those kind of days!
